What is LTC? >> Where can I receive services?

LTC can be provided in a variety of settings such as:
    • Your own home. In fact, Home Care now represents the majority of LTC services.
    • Hospice Care
    • Adult Day Care facilities
    • Assisted Living facilities
    • Continuing Care Retirement Communities
    • Nursing Homes

Less than 15% of long-term care is in a nursing home. The vast majority takes place in the community, mostly at home with family members, some in adult day care. The fastest growing form of long-term care is the assisted living facility.
