Deborah "Debbie" Hull joined Newman Long Term Care as an External Wholesaler in 2011. Debbie plays an integral role in educating people about the Newman distribution model as well as creating and maintaining agent relationships through our Brokerage and Business Alliance Program. Debbie partners with agents to develop individual and multi-life business initiatives, making her an invaluable resource. She also assists agents with creating new (and penetrating existing) client relationships.
Debbie's first exposure to Long Term Care Insurance happened when her parents asked her to help them understand how LTCI worked and if it made sense for them to consider applying for coverage. Since both of Debbie's grandmothers died in nursing homes, she remembered how those experiences affected her parents and the rest of her extended family. Debbie's mother was determined that what happened to her mother and mother-in-law would not happen to her and Debbie's father. Debbie was happy to look into Long Term Care Insurance and help her parents explore their planning options. While her parents did not end up with a Long Term Care policy, she has helped many other folks apply and receive coverage.
Debbie has been in the Long Term Care field since 1996 and has held a variety of positions ranging from agent to marketing director. She has worked with advisors and clients across the country to understand Long Term Care and other related issues. She has also taken part in many client and advisor events over the years. In 2011, she was asked to give a presentation at the Elder Law Institute sponsored by the Minnesota State Bar Association's Continuing Legal Education program.
Providing unparalleled customer service and the building and maintaining of strong relationships have been at the core of Debbie's work ethic since she graduated from the University of Minnesota with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Retail Marketing. Before starting her career in financial services, Debbie honed her skills in those areas with her work in the retail divisions of Donaldson's and Dayton's department stores.
In addition to her Minnesota Insurance license, Debbie has earned the Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC) professional designation.
