Linda "Lynn" Devitt and her brothers purchased a long term care insurance policy for their father who wanted to protect the legacy of the family farm. Yet as important as the legacy of the farm was to him, so was not having to share his room or his bathroom. The last lesson her father taught Lynn was that dignity is as important at 87 as it is at 67.
Linda joined Newman Long Term Care in 1997 and is committed to being an advocate for her clients. She credits her success to the trust they place in her. Before joining the insurance industry, she spent 28 years as an educator and received the 1990 National Thanks to Teachers award. Her innovative approach to teaching was recognized in the National Issues Forum.
Lynn is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and has been a speaker at the NAIFA National Convention and the Senior Marketing Advisor EXPO. She is also a member of the Association of Health Insurance Advisors (AHIA) and has earned the Long-Term Care Professional (LTCP) designation.
Lynn was featured in a cover story in the Senior Market Advisor in 2005 when she was named "Protector of the Nest Egg." Her industry awards include recognition as a national leader by insurance companies. She has received the National Long Term Care Insurance Sales Achievement Award a number of times. Lynn is also recognized as a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).
