Her parents were only in their 50s when Wendy's mom was diagnosed with cancer. Because they had no plan in place, the burden of care fell on the family, placing great strain on Wendy's father, the primary caregiver. By the time Wendy's mother died two years later, her father was physically and mentally exhausted; tragically, a short time later, he too passed away. Wendy and her sister were devastated, and their memories of their parents' last years are difficult to this day. After 20 years in corporate America, Wendy's desire to help others avoid the trauma her own family went through led her to Newman Long Term Care, where she brings deep experience in the insurance, healthcare and banking industries to her position as a Long Term Care Insurance Specialist. Wendy's passion for her work motivates her daily in assisting clients in protecting not only their assets, but also their legacies and their physical and mental well-being. Her experienced and forthright manner also helps clients in talking through the various aspects of the long term care decision-making process. Wendy is a licensed Life, Accident and Health Insurance Agent and is an active member in many of the industry's professional organizations.
