Peter Hallberg joined our team at Newman Long Term Care in February of 2017 as an Internal Wholesaler. He provides support to our brokers and our team of LTCI specialists, as well as, provides assistance with underwriting pre-qualification, comparison quotes, plan design, product questions and more. Peter is a licensed insurance agent with an extensive background in the industry and brings to the team a wide range of knowledge from life insurance and annuities to Medicare supplements, to long term care insurance.
Peter founded his own insurance agency, which specializes in helping educate and enroll individuals who are aging into Medicare Health and Drug coverage. Most recently, he comes to Newman Long Term Care from Foster Klima where he worked as a financial representative. Over the past 5 years, he has focused on working with individuals nearing or addressing milestones in retirement.
Peter has a passion and knows the importance of LTCI and proper estate planning from personal experience. When his grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, he witnessed first-hand the catastrophic generational effects, both financially and emotionally, when care is required and there is no plan. Conversely, he has witnessed how peaceful, coordinated and emotionally different a similar experience can be for those individuals and families with a LTC plan.
Peter is also a member of, and contributes to, the following organizations: NAIFA, Eden Prairie Professionals in Aging (EPPIA), Care Options Network, Senior Workers in Marketing (SWIM), and “A Place For Mom” website.
