This holiday season, the Newman Long Term Care Team exercised one of their core values, compassion, and participated in Operation Christmas Child. Each member took the time to select a few toys for boys and girls ages 3-14 with one requirement: the toy had to fit in a shoe box. The toys were then packaged and wrapped by the Newman LTC team and will be shipped to children in need as Christmas presents.

Operation Christmas Child is a program by Samaritan’s Purse. Their mission statement is:

“Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
